X-Men '97 Season 2, Episode 7

As a kid I always wanted more Nightcrawler and Colossus in the original series. Taking the focus off Wolverine to spotlight the rest of the X-Men was their best decision. They could have pushed elements further, but Nightcrawler's speeches were beautiful.

The Punisher: Ultimate Payback! for Nintendo Game Boy

It had to be adapted to first person to fit on a handheld. This means you can’t dodge bullets, which totally breaks the difficulty. They dropped Kingpin and added an incredibly small and out of character came from Spider-Man. At least it has more than one song.

#DIRTYLAUNDRY (Short)

I respect that Tom Jane cared enough to attempt to make good on his misbegotten take on Punisher with a short fan film. The gore is the main draw and it delivered. That said, its giving Man Of Steel vibes in his blasé attitude toward victimized innocents.

Amazing Spider-Man (2025) 32, Uncanny X-Men 31, Fantastic Four 14, Wolverine 24

The Disability Pride Month backup brings nearly everyone with a disability in to stop Hobgoblin from using the Mind Stone in a plot to "cure" autism. It's a mess of character introductions and recaps. They really needed to just focus on Finesse and Daredevil.

Fantastic Four First Foes: Shalla Bal (2026) 1

I was interested to see this expand on the backstory of the underused MCU Silver Surfer, since we only got a glimpse of her divergent origin. Unfortunately, this really doesn't answer any questions, but it does have a pretty comfortable classic Surfer vibe to it.

Imperial Guardians (2026) 1-5

I had high hopes for this book. This roster is great, Gamora is the leader and Dan Abnett was back writing. Then the whole cosmic line got killed and this was depressingly dead on arrival. There's some good stuff set up here that really needs to pay off someday soon.

X-Men '97 Season 2, Episode 6

Monster of the week episodes giving the spotlight to underused characters are always great, even if I'm not a fan of Danger. There will be a lot more Polaris fans after this one. I'm loving the race through all the classic costumes, but I'll be pissed if Beast turns into a cat.

X-Men '97 Season 2, Episode 5

I hope we keep getting a horror episode each season. I'm surprised how much gore we got away with. I love how Morph is Wolverine's new Jubilee/Kitty Pryde. I was hoping for more from a particular storyline, but Team X in an '80s style horror setting is too fun to deny.
